Great news guys! Victoria’s Labor Government has announced a new half-price registration scheme for tradie apprentices effective from January 1, 2016, including bricklaying.
Registration renewal notices will be issued next week outlining the steps for eligible trade apprentices to take advantage of the Government’s discount for apprentices. Read more >>
With a forecast for an extremely hot and long summer, I’d like to remind bricklayers and apprentices of the need to cover up and use sunscreen while on the job, to protect you from skin cancer.
Already we have experienced unseasonal very high temperatures during the month of November.
I encourage all bricklayers to wear a hat, available from your ABBTF State Office if you wish, and to apply the new ABBTF 30+ sunscreen to avoid damage from the sun’s rays. Read more >>
As the year draws to a close, there is no doubt that 2015 has seen some of the best building and construction figures in recent years in Queensland and all forecasters are predicting this level to be maintained for the next few years.
