The Role

Take your first steps towards a great career as a WA apprentice with one of Perth’s major builder based Group Training Organisation. This is a 3-year apprenticeship completed on-site. The Apprentice Training Manager will pair you with a host trainer and all RTO study will be carried out on campus.

Working outside with a supportive team, they will teach you all aspects of the trade including:

  • Setting up work stations
  • Reading plans and specifications
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Carrying out measurements and calculations
  • Preparing work surfaces & stations
  • Mixing a variety of mortars
  • Laying bricks and block
  • Installing windows, doors and openings
  • General labouring duties
  • Cleaning up work stations & areas
  • To be the successful candidate for this role you must be:
  • Essentials:
  • You
  • Australian Citizenship, Permanent Resident, New Zealand citizen, or holder of an appropriate visa
  • WA White Card
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Reliable
  • Be willing to undertake a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
  • Good personal presentation
  • Like to work with their hands
  • Enjoys working outdoors
  • Desirables:
  • Driver licence and vehicle
  • Pre-Apprenticeship qualification
  • Previous experience in the field
  • An understanding of the trade
